Quiet Sunday

Sunday

Today we had a quiet Sunday. Mike rested, read his book, watched some TV, slept….all those good things to do on a Sunday.

I chatted to Stacey and watched her and Elsie decorate their Christmas tree which was a lot of fun.

In the afternoon, I spent an hour browsing tourist kind of shops in Simon’s Town, looking for a specific gift for Mike. I couldn’t find what I was looking for, but I enjoyed the walk…

Beautiful day but very windy.

On the way home, there were several emergency vehicles at the entrance to Glencairn (the hotel side) – my  heart broke to see a huge motorbike with the rider lying on the road with a blanket over him. When he woke up this morning, he did not know it would be his last day on earth. It was so sobering. All I could do was pray for his family who would be getting the tragic news.
