Thursday
Today was the day…
Julian’s balcony roof started being constructed. South Africa has energy efficiency rules. To get all the windows we wanted, to be within those rules, we had to double glaze a whole batch of windows and cover others with overhangs or in this instance, a roof. Both our balconies will get a roof over them. This is Julian’s from below…
And from inside his lounge…
Mike and Courage worked on getting the conduiting through the roof in preparation for the solar panels. Courage working on the outside…
And on the inside…
I took a picture of my future study nook…it won’t be very big, but it has a view!
Slowly but surely a house gets built. I was excited to hear today that the tiler is coming on Saturday to lay the floor tiles on our level. The men were bringing them all up in preparation. I’m really looking forward to seeing what they look like.
We are not sure when we will move in. It all depends on the supply lines. A lot of stuff we are trying to order is delayed. Today I was able to pick up some plumbing fittings but not all of it arrived. We’ll do the best we can.

Romans 5:3-5
We know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. An hope does not put us to shame because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts.
The best is yet to come.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
