Silvermine Walk, Chappies Drive, Kirstenbosch Visit…

6-47pm

One of the huge advantages of having visitors is that we visit places! With the weather in Cape Town being nothing less that absolutely splendid, we have had a feast for the eyes, as we have drunk in the majestic views that this spectacular city has to offer. And I didn’t even go up Table Mountain.

Yesterday, after I posted the blog, we took a walk up Silvermine, passing this perfect protea on our way…

We marched onward and upward….this was our destination…

And with views like this, it was absolutely worth it…Chapman’s Peak and Noordhoek Beach…

Today, I took Graham, Jenny and Steven to Table Mountain. We went via Chapman’s Peak, stopping regularly to ooh and aah. Noordhoek Beach with Monkey Valley in the foreground…

Further round, we enjoyed seeing Hout Bay come into sight on a perfect day…

Looking back towards Kommetjie…

The mountain above Chapman’s Peak…

Our visitors went up Table Mountain, while I did some work and collected them later to go to Kirstenbosch. We sat under a tree and ate a picnic lunch and then relaxed in front of a pond. The peace and beauty of this wonderful treasure of a place just seeped into me. Graham, Jenny and Steven went for a walk and I relaxed and had a little doze! My photo of the day has to be this one, just for the creative value. It was the view from my bench…

The one on the left is right way up! The one on the right is flipped! 🙂

Psalm 1:1Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. 2But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

Good to be a tree planted by streams of water!

A fabulous day. Thanks Jenny for your wonderful company! 🙂

God bless you loads!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
