Yesterday, after I left Wendy’s house, I went to the new Foodlover’s Market in Tokai. Stacey had raved about how big it is! Wow. She was not wrong. I stocked up on loads of fruit and veg. Before the renovations, on a couple of occasions I bought milk or meat from them and arrived home to find it sour or when unwrapped, smelling highly suspicious. It was a real pain because I never returned the stuff because they are ‘over the mountain’ from us. But because they are all new and on the ball, I bought milk (which I haven’t yet tried) and I also bought a roast chicken. It smelt fine. It tasted fine. But from the family’s response, it was not fine! Mike called me first to say he was off -colour and coming home. Then I had a call from David to tell me that Granny had got stuck in the bath! She got in and couldn’t get out. Praise the Lord for Irene who happened to arrive to help! I asked Granny if she had had a ‘runny tummy’ and she said ‘yes!’ Granny has the constitution of a horse, so it’s a bit surprising that it hit her! I only had a little chicken, so I seemed to have escaped the full brute force of ‘Dehli Belly!” No one is too sick, but sick enough for me be running around making tea. I also have cleaned the kitchen and done two loads of washing (just so Miranda knows I’m doing housework!) Talking of Miranda, I found a Carnation in our postbox. I think you must have dropped by! Thank you so much!
Right now, everything is under control 🙂 and I am sitting on the patio enjoying this…
And after I have done the required show prep, I’m heading for this…
Imagine me lying on it with my head on the cushion reading a book!
Thank you so much for the loving response regarding Wendy’s health. So many of you have prayed and want to be kept up to date. John left a message on my FB page to say that she had slept much better last night. If you know Wendy, call her home and find out if it is convenient for you to visit. You need to sit with her in the dark, which is a bit of an adjustment, but it makes such a difference to her day. Time goes quicker. Do continue praying for her.
1 John 5:14-15 says “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of Him”
He is God!
In His Grip,
Helga 🙂
