Running out of Space

Wednesday

Today was the day…

Google told me I was running out of space. It’s been 12 years of Gmail and I’ve maxed out. Probably most of the space has been used up over the last 6 months as I’ve taken thousands of photos of Echo and emailed them to myself.  It’s been so interesting seeing some of the emails from 2008. It’s a interesting account of my life since then, especially when it comes to our travel plans. I think I’ll take care on what I delete as I go through those years. Anyway, I’ve deleted enough to stop them throwing up a message that says I’m full.

We had a pretty good day mainly at home. Mike is not working at the building site so he was home for most of the day. In the evening we went to Echo. One of the myriads of decisions that needs to be made. How to place the cornices on the top floor. Mike came up with this idea which I think will work. I sent the photo to Werner.

View out of Julian’s back door.

It was getting dark…blurry pic of David and I looking out the top back door.

I saw there would be a little rain today, but over the last half hour it has been coming down in buckets.

There’s a murmuring in the country for us to move to Level 2 lock-down. This is because we have seen a decrease in Covid-19 cases. Over the last 24 hours, the Western Cape only had 206 new cases and country-wide they are also dropping.

Corona stats South Africa country-wide –August 2020 –

  • Friday 24th July – 13944 new cases (maximum we’ve had)– 250 deaths (245 771 recoveries/169 882 active) It’s now two weeks since we had the day with the highest number of new cases.
  • Wednesday 5th August – 8559 new cases – 414 deaths (377266 recoveries/143313 active)
  • Thursday 6th August – 8307 new cases – 306 deaths (387316 recoveries/141264 active)
  • Friday 7th August – 7292 new cases – 305 deaths (394759 recoveries/140808 active)
  • Saturday 8th August – 7712 new cases – 301 deaths (404568 recoveries/138410 active)
  • Sunday 9th August – 6671 new cases – 198 deaths (411474 recoveries/137977 active)
  • Monday 10th August – 3739 new cases – 213 deaths (417200 recoveries/ 135777 active)
  • Tuesday 11th August – a new low: 2511 new cases – 130 deaths (426125 recoveries/ 129233 active)

Total cases: 566109 Total deaths: 10751

If they open up the economy even more, the chance of a second wave is higher. For myself, I’m looking forward to going back to gym!

1 John 5:20

We know that the Son of God has come, and He has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God.

Amen!

The best is yet to come.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
