Ridiculous Obsession

Wednesday

That’s what’s happening now. Our building on the side of a mountain has become a ridiculous obsession. Today Mike and I walked the 5km to Echo. Our conversation peppered with discussions of where toilets should go and how the whole place will be used in the future. Our silent unseen Listener has a plan for it all. We are still astounded that we suddenly have almost got planning permission. I have a letter from the City of Cape Town that bears testimony to this amazing event…

We got to the site to find a chute being prepared to carry the rubble away as more serious excavations commence. Once serious holes, trenches, beams and retaining walls begin to appear, the footprint of the house will become more evident. The chute will carry the rubble directly into a truck which will transport it to the dump. It will take a number of days I’m sure…

On the walk back, we looked out over Fish Hoek beach. A reminder of why we live in this beautiful City.

Mike gave Werner a call after we got home and then met him at the site to have a chat about exactly what rocks will stay and which will go. They are both on the same page.

But our ridiculous obsession needs to be mastered. I feel I’m living with underlying expectation and anticipation – we are waiting. But while we are waiting for the house to be built, I need to sort out the one we are in! I’ve got to use my time wisely for both paid work and sorting work. We have to do rather than talk about doing!

Anyway, back to work for me now as I have a Skype call in 15 minutes. I get the opportunity to have this published before hand.

Mark 11:24

“I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve receive it, it will be yours.”

Faith!

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
