Orthodontist Visit Number 9

Tuesday

There’s no operation news yet. That’s pretty much what I found out at my 9th Orthodontist visit. I see him again at 12-15 on Tuesday 26th November – 6 weeks time. The op will only be after in 2020! C’est la vie. So he did a few things which always are difficult to understand. He mentioned mandible a couple of times, as well as lower arch and bringing bottom teeth forward (or was it pushing them back?), wires elastic and see you in 6 weeks time! This evening my lower teeth are quite sore but otherwise no stress.

I got some work done this morning and this afternoon. Also did the washing. We went to Echo this evening to see progress. It’s a lot of manual labour going on right now. Mike and David standing in the back foundation trench…

They then stood at the proposed back corner points of the house and I took a photo from the bottom deck. Quite a joyful picture!

David has suggested I take a photo from the same place whenever I am there and at the end of the build I can do a time-lapse of the building going up. So this is the first and the second. I think I’ve got the positioning right. Perhaps I need to move the camera fraction to the right.

We need to get a Bible and have it fixed in one of the foundations, so forever our house is founded on the Word of God! This is the middle trench being dug….

A beautiful day in Cape Town.  The view from the top is pretty spectacular… looking across False Bay…

And towards Kalk Bay…

Building a house can be notoriously stressful. I hope that we will not be stressed, but continually count ourselves blessed!

1 Peter 3:12

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

I did not go to gym today and I missed it. I’m looking forward to getting back into a routine.

Braces:

Day 336. (The camera on my phone said I was a 27 year old male!) It’s a wonderful camera that automatically smooths out my complexion and makes me look half my age, even if it did get my gender wrong on that occasion!
