Regular Thursday

It’s been pretty much a regular Thursday, in that I went to gym, did a 20 minute walk, 30 minutes Grid and 10 minute cycle. The Grid is always hectic. My friend Ingrid joins me now on a Tuesday and Thursday to do the Grid. She has a really strong core, so keeps up with it very well. The hardest exercise today were the burpees! When I first started doing the Grid I could do 6 in the allotted time. Now I can do 7. We do six rounds of them, so 42 in total. The trainer today said Ingrid and I were doing a whole lot more than the others. We just do the beginner ones. Try it! (Turn the volume down…it’s a bit loud and harsh!)

#606 of my 1000 thanks is for the ability to do 42 burpees!

I came home with every cell in my body saturated with oxygen. I had an effective ‘bucket shower’. I took a bucket of harvested rain water (from the tank) into the shower and used it to wash. Once wet, it’s like having a sailor shower. Getting the soap  entirely off, I tossed the bucket over me! It was cold water, but I was hot from the work out. Worked perfectly. Not a drop of drinking water was used in the process!

I stripped the bed and loaded the washing machine.  I did a splattering of work and then headed to the mall. My friends were meeting at 10-30 for coffee, so I joined them. After a nice chat, I went to buy a new swimming cap. Mine tore the other day and I ended up having to borrow one from the gym so I could get my swim in. I did some grocery shopping and went home.

Then I got stuck into work properly. I also put the washing machine on. All the time we (Mike and I) were keeping an eye on the cricket. SA are playing Australia in a test match at Newlands, here in Cape Town. It’s the third match and each country has won one. We were sailing along pretty well until a short while ago when we had a great big collapse. We were 220/2. Now 226/8. Oops!

Got the washing on and off the line and helped Mike fix one of the lights in the cottage. A good day!

Romans 3:24

God, in His grace, freely makes us right in His sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins.

What a blessing.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
