Tuesday

Today was the day…

Of beautiful weather and an amazing sunset and moon rise. It is difficult for us to get our head around living here. Every day when we wake up, the view is still there. The sea sparkles with a slightly different light; the sun rises sometimes behind clouds or mist – other times in all its glorious shining unhidden splendor; the wind is erratic – sometimes soft and gentle – other times big and bold and rough – the air conditioner is on full blast. Today we had soft and gentle and then a medium breeze.

We walked early and when we got home, we had breakfast on the balcony. When we do that, it feels like we are on holiday at some exotic destination or on a ship. Breakfast view…

View from the couch….the umbrella is just enough to prevent the morning sun from shining in our eyes.

After breakfast I did a full day’s work. This evening we went for another walk, the tide was very low. I stepped down off the cat walk and onto the rocks and took some photos…

When we got home, the sun was setting and the moon was rising…now that was an amazing sight…

These are the things we didn’t expect when living here. The expansive view would beckon our attention,  luring us outside to admire its splendor and to remind us that God has set His glory in the heavens. Even now, the moon sits firm amidst mottled clouds spewing its light in zig-zagging trails…

Psalm 8:3-5
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place, what is mankind that You are mindful of them, human beings that You care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.

This is as good as it gets this side of eternity.

The best is yet to come.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
