It’s Always Good To Have a Friday

Friday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day that I got to work a few hours less than the rest of the week. It’s always good to have a Friday. I have got fully on top of all I need to do and am now free to take the weekend off! I’m looking forward to having a chat with you tomorrow.

One of the things I have been meaning to do all week is to go to the cottage and have a chat with the guest who has been there for a few months. He leaves tomorrow and I wanted to offer him the option of leaving some of his belongings behind because he is coming back for 10 days next month. I was able to do that at lunchtime and then returned to work.

I also went up the back today which I haven’t done in a while and got such a nice surprise to see how much progress Courage has made on the walls.

The back patio has got pavers now with 2 rock fish.

Well done Mike for his design and Courage for implementing it.

Despite the late hour, our new TV is soon to be delivered. Apparently the delivery company is on the way.

Yay for the weekend!

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in Me.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

Chopping Up Our Road

Thursday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day I did a good day’s work. Afterwards, we walked to the end of the street and enjoyed the view. There’s been a brisk south-easter which had been black in the morning, with sweeping drizzle and clouds. How it’s just fresh with no rain.

The main thing that is happening on our road right now is the ongoing sound of roadworks. The road has been chopped open, new water pipes laid and then dug open again at various points to do other stuff.

The other day we were about to go out and there was a massive hole in front of our garage. The chap who was busy working there hastily filled it in enough for David to reverse the big car out. The city has contracted a company to replace the water pipe infrastructure on the road and I’m sure when it’s done it will look great. Right now a third of it is dirt.

During all the works, they wrecked half our roll-over kerb, but we hear they will replace it all. The road has been chopped up a number of times this year. Burst water mains were usually the culprit, but this photo below was after an electricity substation caught fire and put the power out.

I think once all this is done, it will be resurfaced and will look as good as new.

Today is my nephew Darryl’s birthday. Happy Birthday!

We spent the evening chatting (one TV still on the blink – new TV hasn’t arrived) & now it’s definitely time for me to wrap it up for the day.

Proverbs 15:30
A cheerful look brings joy to the heart

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going (it brings joy to the heart!)

God bless you.

New TV is Coming Soon

Wednesday

Dear Elsie

Today is the day Grandpa went and bought a new TV. It was not immediately available, so it will be delivered. Courage is happy to take the old one off our hands. It had me thinking about our TV history.

We’ve had two TVs stolen in our lives. The first was in 1998, when we had a nasty premeditated break-in at our previous home. Aunty Mary, who lived across the road, warned us that she had seen some people watching our house. The garden was not enclosed at that time and one day, she saw someone walking around the back of the house and went to investigate. Aunty Mary was feisty. Sure enough, there were a couple of chaps showing an interest in our back windows. They ran when Aunty Mary appeared. It was after this that we started locking the back bedroom doors as an additional security measure.

One Monday morning, we left for work as usual. The children had asked me if they could go to aftercare at school, just once, to see what it was like so that Monday was the chosen day. As a result, I stayed longer at work. Early afternoon, I got a frantic call from another neighbour, Dawn – “Helga! They’ve broken into your house!”  I jumped into my car and raced home. How strange it was to have a police car with sirens blazing overtake me and for me to realise it was on its way to my house.

What had happened is the baddies had kept an eye on the house and when the coast was clear had gone round the back and got into one of the back bedrooms through a small skylight window. When they found the bedroom door locked, the chap outside handed the one inside a rock and he proceeded to break a hole in the bedroom door and access the house. The kids bedrooms were downstairs and contained nothing of value for them, so they headed upstairs and rifled through all our belongings, stealing what, in effect was of very little value at the time. There were no cell phones or laptops in 1998. There was a hi-fi, the cord of which they ripped out the wall and it must have made a big bang because there was a black mark on the wall. They stole clothes and a bedspread (that was of great sentimental value) to put stuff in. They loaded it all downstairs by the sliding door. Then they waved to their get-away vehicle which was on the top road behind our house and a kombi came around and parked in the driveway. Then they forced open the sliding door and started packing their loot into the car, including the TV.

About that time, Aunty Mary looked out her window and wondered who they were. She came outside and one of them came across to her and asked her for some water. When she saw one of his accomplices carrying our stuff out, she started screaming. The thieves leapt into the car and rushed away. Aunty Mary yelled at the passing postman to get their car registration number, which he did.

I arrived home shortly after the police arrived and indeed the house had been ransacked. A most unpleasant occurrence but, if Stacey and David hadn’t been to aftercare, we could quite easily have walked right into it happening. That was 1998. We upped security and a friend gave us an ancient Telefunken TV….something like this (photo from Pintrest)

She warned us it had some foibles and we soon discovered them. It didn’t turn on immediately. It needed to ‘warm up’, so if you wanted to watch TV, you had to be prepared to wait after you turned it on.  After a while, we realised there was only one way to get it to start at all and that was to heat up the back with a hair-dryer. So, a hair-dryer moved into the lounge for convenience and the kids would get home from school and would heat the TV up with the hair-dryer so they could watch TV. It was an ongoing point of both amusement and irritation. There were also some arguments as to who was to heat up the TV. After all in 1998, Stacey was 10 and David 7.  Eventually they were so happy when we finally announced a new TV would be bought and this old one would be dumped.

And so it was!

By the way, the police followed up on the number plate and the burglars were caught but our belongings were never retrieved.

The second TV we had stolen was on 1 September 2017 and was burglary number 3 in a spate of robberies we endured over a 5 week period. I wrote about that here.

The TV we bought to replace that one is our current TV which  is giving us screen issues. Mike phoned a technician today who said it is not really worth repairing, so to Courage it shall go.

Well that’s a long story long and pretty much all I can say about our TV history, for what it’s worth. Every now and again we reflect on heating up the TV and it causes much amusement!

I always like getting to Psalm 118 as it reminds us of this.

Psalm 118:24
This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂

Happy 6th Birthday Elsie!

Tuesday 21st May 2024

Dearest Elsie!

Today is your 6th birthday and you have had a fabulous day. 36 cupcakes at school, singing & celebrating, braaiing tonight and wonderful gifts all made for a lovely day.
I remember this day 6 years ago so well. We woke up early to hear the news your Mom was in labour. We jumped in the car and headed for Worcester. It was pouring with rain on the N1. We got through the tunnel and as we exited and my phone got a signal, there was a photo! My darling Elsie had arrived! This was it…

Elsie you looked so good. Healthy and strong. I couldn’t wait to get to the hospital to hold you.

I was besotted. 1 day old…

How blessed are we! Here  you are 5 days old.

It’s been so special seeing you grow up and become the sweetie you are today. I love you so much! Happy Birthday!

It was a cloudy sunrise today and remained overcast and gloomy with a touch of rain later this afternoon.

Raiku has concluded with the colder weather, he needs to spend more time inside and so has spent hours in this spot…he does change position, but he’s been on my rocking chair since mid afternoon.

In my journey through the Bible, today I read through the fast-paced, dramatic last few chapters of 1 Samuel. It’s a long story, but David was in exile (hiding out in Philistine land) and had left his city of Ziklag to go to war with the Philistines against Israel. The commander of the Philistine army heard he was in their ranks and told the King to tell him to turn back. David returned to Ziklag only to find it had been razed to the ground and all the remaining family of both him and his men had been captured.

1 Samuel 30:4-6
David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep. 5 David’s two wives had been captured—Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail, the widow of Nabal of Carmel. 6 David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God.

When you have no strength left to even weep, find strength in the Lord your God.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Mike & the TV

Monday

Dear Elsie

It’s the day before your 6th birthday! I am thinking so much about you. When you wake up tomorrow, you will be 6! What a happy day!

As for me, I worked more than 9 hours today so it was a good day. Later in the afternoon, I found Mike and Courage poring over the TV.

Mike and I married in 1986 and for the last 38 years I have consistently admired his ability to fix almost anything – except TVs. This is because way back in the early days he tried to fix an old TV and it just about blew up! Since then, he hasn’t had TVs on his list of things that he can fix.  When we returned home from holiday, the TV had acquired some lines…

We have said we need a new TV for a while because this ones sound is so bad, so maybe this is the time. Mike & Courage had a good look inside to see if there was anything obvious. They scrutinised connections to make sure nothing was loose. Then they put it back together but alas, there are still lines. It’s time.

Nothing else to report from today and it is time I got off my computer.

John 11:25-26
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.”

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

Driving Home From Swellendam

Sunday

Dear Elsie

Today we got up early, I had a bite to eat and a chat with you. We prayed and then I set off on the drive home at first light.

My new half-car is amazing. It’s so comfortable and I feel so safe in it. Cruise control is a feature I never again want to be without! I stopped for cappuccino in Caledon and then at Peregrine where I picked up some of their famous pies. Home before 10am, so it took about 3 hours to get home. The roads generally were quiet with intermittent mist slowing me down a little.

I was pleased to find Mike vastly improved…only occasionally coughing, cold over and to my joy, back in our bed! His appetite is back along with his energy levels. Now it’s just figuring out if he will give it to others if he goes out. From what we read online, he’s free to move about after 5 days, which is today.

I sat in my rocking chair and enjoyed the sun sparkling on the water.

As I had already been sitting for 3 hours while driving, I could sit no longer, so I headed down to Fish Hoek to buy chicken and veg. Home beach.

I appreciate the life-savers who practice for emergencies…

Shopping done, I came home via Daisy Lane.

The walk gave me an opportunity to try out my left foot and ankle – it being one week since I tripped off the kerb in Copenhagen. It is still bruised and one part is swollen but I coped with the walk with no difficulty.

This afternoon, I had a nap. That was a real treat. Then we sat on the balcony and had tea.

Dinner done, it’s time to wrap up for the evening.

Psalm 116:7
Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

6th Birthday

Saturday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day you had a wonderful 6th birthday party. It’s your birthday on Tuesday so today we had your party. It was a lot of fun. We went to the shops quite early…for some essentials…

Then it was home in time for the jumping castle to arrive…

When the children arrived, so the fun began.

Then there was pass the parcel, musical statues and presents to be opened.

There was plenty of food, snacks, braai, marshmallows and of course the birthday cake. A fun time was had by all. I love you Els!

My plan was to drive home this afternoon, but when I spoke to Mike early this morning, he had turned the corner on his nasty bout of Covid and he is now on the mend. I called him again this afternoon and he was about to walk down to the shops. I dissuaded him from doing so, strongly suggesting he needs to rest! He said he would.

Just as well I didn’t drive home. The birthday food had made me decidedly sleepy. I’ll go home tomorrow and get to spend a few more precious hours with the family.

My laptop battery is about to die and I don’t have my charger, so let me wrap this up.

Psalm 115:12
The Lord remembers us and will bless us;

It’s not about  now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In Swellendam for a Party

Friday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day I drove through to Swellendam to celebrate your 6th birthday party tomorrow! It’s so fun being here with you and getting to be part of all the preparations. The birthday cake was made and the icing prepared..

Elsie iced the cupcakes.

And then did a fabulous job decorating them…

Then it was onto the cake…

Which ended up a masterpiece…

And we blew up a lot of balloons…

Such a lot of fun. Tomorrow is going to be a very exciting day!

I left Mike in the care of David and Courage. He was  pretty much the same as yesterday – with a seriously running nose, head cold and slight fever. We’ve been in touch during the day and I’ll phone again in a little while. I woke him up earlier, which wasn’t a good idea.

Psalm 113:3
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through .

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

Mike in the Sick Bay

Thursday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day that Grandpa spent the day in the ‘sick bay’! In fact last night he moved upstairs to Julian’s floor because it’s free at the moment and Julian only arrives next week, so today I am calling it the sick bay.  Grandpa is no worse, but has a head cold of note. His temperature hasn’t been too high and his oxygen levels are fine. If he hadn’t done a Covid test, I would have said it was a very bad cold. I’m hoping Grandpa will be feeling a bit better tomorrow because I’m coming to see you, my Elsie! Someone is turning 6 next week and there is a party to be had!

Mike is very little trouble when he’s sick. I did go up and down a number of times to check on him and visit him and will go up again when I’ve wrapped up here.

One of the strangest adjustments since returning from our holiday is getting used to the very early sunsets. This is 6.17pm.

When we were on the ship we went for dinner at 7.30pm. By the time we had finished there, walked around a bit and seen some of the ship sights, it was close to 10pm. In some places the sun was only just setting. When we were at our most northern point, Mike woke in the early hours and to his surprise the last glow of sunlight was visible in the distant horizon. To have it almost dark by 6.30pm now is a big change for us. I love autumn. I enjoy winter too.

Today is 16th May and it is one year ago today that Mike’s sister passed away. It’s also a year ago today that David started triple therapy. While it didn’t work, it gave him some hope at the time.  Recently, he has seen a positive improvement. Today, we went across for me to pick up Mike’s car. I asked him to wait to  make sure I could get into the garage and out with the car before leaving. Not only did he wait, he got out of the car and closed the garage door after I reversed out. Six months ago he would never have done that. We are keeping him away from Mike for obvious reasons.

Psalm 112:4
Even in darkness light dawns for the upright

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

Gran xx 🙂

Mike Has Covid

Wednesday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day Grandpa had a positive Covid test! If you are reading this when you are much older, look up Covid to find out what it’s all about because in a few decades, it will be long forgotten. This was this morning’s sunrise. We would never have predicted what would happen during today.

Last night Mike coughed a bit and I didn’t think it sounded good but when he woke up, he felt okay. So okay in fact, that he went out to the Berry shop to buy me berries. His biggest irritation was a sore shoulder. When he got home, he said he was beginning to feel a little fluey. As the day progressed, he got worse and worse. His nose was streaming and he was looking very under the weather. When I took his temperature he had a mild fever. He was sickening for something. Later in the afternoon, he asked me to go buy him a Covid test and some Vitamin C.

He dived straight in and tested himself for Covid and blow me down, he was positive!

You never know what a day may hold, but there is always something. We still have things to be grateful for. If you are going to get Covid, get it after your holiday not before. Our last recollection of Mike having Covid was right before our cruise in November 2022. He had a rough 2 days and then started to rapidly improve, so we are hoping it will be the same this week, or maybe even quicker.

And of course, David is staying at arm’s length. He has been in Mike’s company but that was before he was coughing. David’s feeling fine. If anyone could get it, it will be me.

I worked for almost 8 hours & have just about caught up.  I went for a walk to the end of the road. My ankle felt it, so I think I do need to take care. I did the stairs twice.

Tomorrow is another day.

Psalm 111:4
He has caused His wonders to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and compassionate.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

Missing Photos

Tuesday

Dear Elsie

One week to go before you turn 6! So exciting.

Today was the day I worked more than 9 hours and still have a truck load of work to go, so my capacity for a long blog is not very great! Apart from work today, I also managed to catch up with the washing and we are feeling back to normal but there have been some photos I meant to post but for some reason didn’t remember to put them up. The first is our arriving home yesterday morning.

Such a wonderful treat to get such a spectacular view on a perfect autumn day in Cape Town.

Last night Mike went to bed at 8pm and me an hour later. I woke to the incessant meowing of a confused Raiku at around 11pm and was up for a short while before going back to bed until after 5am. As a result, we both had more than 8 hours of sleep. My ankle is feeling better. I did take a pain pill today but while it’s still swollen and turning different shades of purple, I can walk with ease. I haven’t ventured out to do any exercise, but that may come in a few days time.

Other photos I meant to post were the last sunset on the ship which was Saturday night…somewhere between Germany and Denmark.

And the last sunrise which was Sunday morning. We were approaching Copenhagen…it was from my cabin balcony.

But nothing beats a fabulous home sunset. This was a few minutes ago.

Home is good!

John 8:12
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

Safely Home

Monday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day we arrived safely home!  These things are not guaranteed, so we are grateful. Everything went off as planned, although our flight did get in early. Yesterday I left off when I was sitting in the assistance area at Copenhagen Airport. At that point, I was officially in the ‘needs assistance’ system and there would be a wheelchair waiting for me at each point along the way. When it was time to board for our flight from Copenhagen to Istanbul, a driver on a golf cart arrived. Mike sat at the back, while I sat at the front and we were whisked through passport control and then to the gate. The flight was uneventful.

Istanbul had a very nifty set up. The wheelchair was motorised and the attendant could step up on the back and go whizzing through the airport hooting his horn at will. This left Mike running to keep up! This attendant got us the internet voucher required for Istanbul airport and deposited us at the gate for our flight to Cape Town. I then had another lady attendant arrive and she escorted Mike and I to the front of the boarding gate queue & along the air bridge to the plane.  The inconvenience (and pain) of a sprained ankle certainly had the convenience of a personal attendant and priority passes at every stop.

The flight from Istanbul to Cape Town was 10 hours. I slept a bit, but Mike only slept about 15 minutes. Both of us slept this afternoon.

On arrival in Cape Town, we were briskly taken to the start of the passport  queue, ahead of 300+ passengers who had arrived on one of a number of international flights arriving close to ours. That done, our luggage was next. It was on the carousel and quickly retrieved. Our efficient attendant took us to the Vida Cafe in arrivals and left us there. David arrived to collect us and by the time I was clambering slowly up our stairs, I had only walked 600 steps today! A far cry from the 20000 I was doing a week ago. While my foot is swollen and bruised, it’s not too sore as I’ve hardly been using it. A legit sprained ankle!

I have a compression bandage & with the myprodol, I’m sure I’ll be back to normal within the next few days.

An early night tonight for us. We’ve made many happy memories and grateful to be safely home to our beautiful view. . For family who are wondering, we both gained 2kg!

Psalm 109:30
With my mouth I will greatly extol the Lord.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

Gran xx 🙂

End of our Holiday and an Unexpected Twist

Sunday

Dear Elsie

I hope you have had a good day today spoiling your wonderful Mom on Mother’s Day! I spent the day firstly leaving the ship this morning and then we went into Copenhagen where we enjoyed sitting around a lovely park enjoying amazing Danish sunshine.

What had happened as we got off the Metro and we were walking towards these gardens, is I twisted my ankle on a low Copenhagen street verge and took a tumble. Even though I went flying, the damage was mainly done to my left ankle which was sprained. I wasn’t hurt, I thought and although my ankle felt tender, it wasn’t difficult to walk…initially. After sitting in the park for a while, I noticed it was more painful when I started trying to walk. After seeing Julian off at the Metro, I returned to Mike and we decided to go to the Canal and have a boat tour of Copenhagen waterways. It was beyond fantastic and sitting in the boat was comfortable, so I gave no though to my foot. Here we are about to set off in full sunshine.

The tour starts at the street with the colourful houses…

We passed the Copenhagen Opera house where our guide told us crazy people sometimes jump off the roof into the water!

Naturally, the Little Mermaid was on the itinerary. So many people visit this underwhelming tourist attraction every day…just look at them all! The tour guide told us the statue has lost her head twice!

We passed the yacht the Danish royal family use when they are visiting surrounding countries.

They board the yacht from this pier..

We also passed Amalienborg,  where they live.

And then we went to Christianson Harbour which was a little piece of Danish paradise.

Lots of houseboats and such a vibe.

Here’s a couple of tiny houseboats. So cute.

At the end of it all, I got up to get off the boat,  and that was when my left ankle really began to talk. As we had been sitting for an hour, standing on occasions to take photos, left outer ankle had swollen up and was really bruised. I needed to get it up so we hobbled back to the benches and, as there were none available, I sat on the floor and put my foot on my luggage. I took a Myprodol and then we decided to get to the airport as soon as we could.

At Copenhagen airport, it’s 100s of metres to get from the terminal building to the gate, so Mike asked for assistance. Once that happened, I was treated as an invalid and was wheeled by a very nice security man right through the system. Everyone was very kind and helpful & we are now sitting on very comfortable chairs in the assistance centre. We board in under an hour & begin the long trip home. Hopefully, ice packs and Myprodol will help overnight and I’ll be able to get up the stairs tomorrow when we get home!

Such a lovely holiday comes to an end.

John 7:45-46
When the Temple guards returned without having arrested Jesus, the leading priests and Pharisees demanded, “Why didn’t you bring him in?” “We have never heard anyone speak like this!” the guards responded.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

A Day in Kiel, Germany

Saturday

Dear Elsie

It was good to hear from you today!  You are gearing up for your 6th birthday and that is going to be so exciting! We are looking forward to being with you at your party.

Today was the day we arrived in Kiel, Germany. I was woken by a noise outside and got up to see. It was about 6.15am. It was the Pilot coming to board the ship to take it in.

The Pilot boat pulled up right beside us. Our ship slowed a little and the Pilot hopped aboard.

There is a long inlet to Kiel harbour which took about an hour to cover. Soon after arrival, a fuel tanker pulled alongside and started refueling the ship.

As the main city was 9km away, we chose to spend the day on board and enjoyed a few fun activities. We went back to the sky trail so Julian could also have a go.

And we did some deck walking.

And we enjoyed sitting around, mainly eating and enjoying the sights. Last night, I took a few photos of one of the central lounges that has a very bling staircase.

Mike on the stairs.

And this is the ever changing ceiling of the mall gallery. This time with a turtle.

Last night we really enjoyed their variety concert.

It’s been a super trip on an amazingly big ship. While at times some parts have been a bit overcrowded, all in all it has been well worth the money and the effort of coming all the way to northern Europe to do it. We’ve made spectacular memories that will stay with us for a lifetime.

It’s crazy that it’s the weekend – we’ve spent it in Germany – tomorrow in Copenhagen, a short layover in Istanbul and home on Monday.  It’s been a blast.

John 6:47
Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂

A Good Day at Sea

Friday

Dear Elsie

Today was a good day at sea. I fall into a routine for sea days that is a throwback to our longer cruises when there were many more at-sea days. Grandpa had specifically said he wouldn’t go running round the deck early today, so he slept in and at about 7am, I went to the 15th Deck and sat quietly waiting for the coffee station to open. When it did I ordered a cappuccino and enjoyed that while doing a word game. Then it was time to walk. The deck has a dedicated track for walkers and runners.

The deck walks are sure to be refreshing….

I walked 4km and then ordered more cappuccino for Mike and Julian and took those down to them. We then had an hour or so in the cabin before going to the formal brunch at 9.30am. After that there was an event at 11am in the Mall. The Captain was there for a few announcements. In the photo below, he’s right of the lady in white. She was the compere. The Captain is Paolo Benini and he was with Costa Cruises for 34 years before making the move to MSC in February of this year.

After the Captain spoke, the cast of the entertainment team came out in full  costume.

Quite a display! We also learned that the Euribia is their flagship and was only christened on 8th June last year.

We then went to the food floor and had a little lunch before spending the afternoon relaxing, although I did go to the main deck pool for 30 minutes in the water.

They treat that pool with a potent cocktail of chlorine and salt or whatever it is. It literally glued my hair together! It took a few minutes in the pool shower to get it unmatted and then I had a shower back in the cabin to give it a proper wash.

We are cruising south & we will soon round the southern tip of Denmark before continuing our journey north to Kiel, Germany. We are in a busier shipping area and there are frequent cargo & fishing vessels. Above us is a busy flight path and we are seeing lots of contrails zig zagging across the sky.

Our holiday is rapidly coming to an end. Tomorrow is our last full day. Sunday we will have a very slow disembarkation. Our plan is to store our luggage in Copenhagen and do a bit of sightseeing before going to the airport at about 4pm. A good holiday for sure. We have a lot to be grateful for.

John 6:29
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.”

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
