10.10am
Today dawned cloudy, cold & wet & my main aim of the day was to go to Mitchell’s Plain for a CCFm outside broadcast. It was held at Spine Road High, which is also the site of the MP campus of False Bay College.
My job was to be tea girl and just make sure the timing was right and that False Bay College got good exposure. I took a few photos & started doing today’s blog while sitting in my car making sure the sound was ok. Here are the presenters debating education.
There are loads of stands here promoting many different aspects of False Bay College…
I met Ronel who listens to Rise & Shine & is also teaching right here at False Bay College, Mitchell’s Plain. ..
Over all the OB was a great success! I did the bulk of this on my cell phone, including taking and posting all the photos. Now I’m home, (2-50pm) tucked up in bed and as soon as I have posted this, I’m going to have a sleep! I am so tired.
Also at the outside broadcast I met Anna, who I won’t forget in a hurry. She is one of the many people who listen to CCFm every day, yet never make contact with the station. Words have power. Anna listens to every word. She knows my history. She knows so much about me. Both Ronel and Anna made me realise that most of time, those listening need encouragement to keep on going! When you can’t see the wood for the trees – or life ahead is so uncertain and you have no idea what you are going to do, don’t think that far. Just think of the next few moments in time. You can manage those. When you get to then end of those, you can figure out what will happen after than. Don’t worry about tomorrow. Just focus on today. Live in hope for better days ahead and as Paul says, “Hope that is seen is no hope at all.” (Romans 8:24) We can trust God is in control of us and our future, so hang onto Him and keep going!
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
