Our Courtyard Gate is Finished

Friday

Dear Elsie

Today was a day with many things that happened and one of the big things was the gate to our courtyard got finished and hung. Mike, Courage and Brian all needed to get it in place.

Well done Mike! It looks fabulous.

Gate from the front door.

This adds another level of security and privacy.

Halfway through the day, a message went out on the street Whatsapp group that there were whales. When I looked out the window, there they were. The Whale Watching boat was also keen to arrive to see the sight.

The two whales continued towards Simon’s Town and so the boat got a good look. So did a passing paddler.

Such a pleasure to see them back in the bay. When I went out a short while later, a lot of traffic had stopped along Simon’s Town road to have a look.

I worked for about 5 or 6 hours. In the mid afternoon, David and I went for a drive. We stopped at a spot overlooking Smitswinkel houses.

Quite a spot. One day I’d like to walk down there and now I know where to park and which path to use.

Home and we’ve had fish for dinner. David remains really, really tired. This is expected and hopefully it won’t last much longer. Hopefully, his endothelium will recover and he will regain his strength. Each day we are waiting.

It’s the weekend and I’m so happy for it. Time to knit & we also get a quick trip to Swellendam.

Psalm 119:58

I have sought your face with all my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
