Of Weeds and Work (and Truffles)

Okay, the weeds are a now a pain. The more I take out, the more there seem to be! I took out a few hundred today. The wheelbarrow is now overflowing with them and yet there still seem to be tonnes.  The front does look better, I have to admit, but I can’t say there is much lawn. The grass died last summer in the drought so all that is left is scraggly ground cover with the odd bit of grass that got to survive. Anyway, we will try to pamper it along. Today it rained. Look, no Chapman’s Peak….

It didn’t rain much, but it was enough to make our tanks rise by 2 inches.

Truffles is on the mend. This time a week ago, I thought she was going to head for kitty heaven. She was so very unwell. She’s just about back to normal, although I need to keep her eating.  I really saw her improvement when she came trotting upstairs, ran across my bed and onto my bedside table and started drinking from her cup. It was a wonderful moment

#922 of my 1000 thanks is Truffles drank water on her own without me having to slosh it into her food!

Here sweet kitty.

She can’t live forever, but I am keen for her to hang around for a while longer. This was her straight after the vet on Tuesday…skinny and freaked out!

So I knew I had a huge amount of work today. I had a single assignment sent to me yesterday that took more than 4 hours to do. It was great to get that up and finished.  High five! Then it was onto my regular work.  For the last several months, I’ve been working 20-30 hours a week, which is great. For October, so far, I’ve worked 41 hours a week. No wonder I’m running to catch my tail. I’m really enjoying the work! Apart from the income, it’s great to be able to change people’s lives.

Psalm 3:8

Victory comes from You, O Lord. May You bless Your people.

Amen!

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

I couldn’t help it. After finishing that assignment I went to gym

On the treadmill for 75 minutes – 9km. I walked about half. I listened to Nikki Gumbel’s Bible reading + commentary. Then I listened to this:

Excellent excellent stuff.

I did 15 minutes more,  then went home spiritually fed and physically exercised!
