A Quiet Sunday

I’ve probably had a lot of these, but believe it or not, I’ve never titled a blog A Quiet Sunday. It’s the first one. I woke up quite early this morning (around 5ish) but went back to sleep and fell into a deep sleep.  I was startled awake by Mike bringing me coffee. I felt drugged as I woke. The coffee helped. By then it was 7am and Mike was up because he wanted to make the 8am church service at St. Peters, which we did.

Then we did a bit of shopping for lunch.

By mid-morning,  I wasn’t actually feeling so great – just felt really tired and slightly below par. Julian and David came for lunch. Mike took Julian to the airport.  I’ve developed a bit of backache, thanks to one of two things – weeding or carrying buckets of water. I had an afternoon snooze, which helped.

#921 of my 1000 thanks is for rest. I feel better already. 🙂

When Mike got back from the airport run, we watched a mindless movie on Netflix. It served the purpose of getting me distracted from a bulging work inbox, which I will start to tackle once I’ve done finished this.

Mike has just bought me his famous hot chocolate.

It’s been very windy this weekend, but we are expecting a small amount of rain tomorrow, so hopefully the south-easter will abate, unless the rain is coming via a black south-easter.

This week I have another orthodontist appointment which will reveal the course of treatment as well as CCFm’s 25th birthday celebration. On Friday we go to Swellendam to see Stacey, so it’s going to be full and enjoyable. It won’t matter if my gym attendance is a bit sketchy because I’m due a full week’s break from exercise, although I’m not so sure I’ll manage to stop  for  a whole 7 days.

Weekend over – a new week begins!

Proverbs 28:12

When the righteous triumph, there is great elation; but when the wicked rise to power , people go into hiding.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
