Numbering Our Days…

3-15pm

The last couple of days have been very quiet. After the Spa Day on Friday, I took over all the household chores yesterday. Granny has pretty much hung out in bed the last two days, favouring the warmth of her bed, rather than facing the coldness of a rainy day! I did  some shopping and planned meals for most of this next week, gearing up for spending more time at CCFm. I have an afternoon meeting on Wednesday so need to be organised.

Today dawned beautiful & cloudy…

We went off to church, where the children took centre stage and helped the preacher demonstrate the lesson…

1 Corinthians 3:16 “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?”

Mike made spagbol and Adrian & Stacey arrived with Lemon Meringue Pie…yum.

I’m all set for Rise and Shine tomorrow. Tune in at 7am for Part 2 of Andy Stanley’s message on Worry.

Wendy’s family have been on my mind as they come to terms with her absence. A friend of Wendy’s, Ruth Maxwell, wrote such an appropriate message on her Facebook wall. She said, “Wendy was (and is) a treasured jewel in my life. Her love for her Lord Jesus and her willingness to love others and be available for all that God wanted her to do in the midst of so much suffering, spoke volumes to me. On one of my last visits with her I asked her what she was learning as she sat in the dark–‘The importance of valuing every moment. If I had my life to live over I would focus more on the things of eternity.'”

Once you’d met Wendy, you would never forget her. She was an inspiration. Take her advice. Value every moment. Focus more on the things of eternity.

Psalm 90:12 Teach us to number our days,   that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Off now to have a walk with Valerie-Gail.

God bless you loads!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
