Friday
Today was the day…
I was planning on taking the day off because I knew that yesterday’s vaccine may cause some headache and fatigue. While I did feel a little woozy for part of this morning and I have a very stiff left arm, ultimately, this afternoon I’m pretty much back to normal. Mike has hardly had any symptoms. I worked the morning and am now writing a nice early blog, so I can chill the rest of the afternoon and evening. We may even take a little walk.
The day began overcast with the sea flat. It was perfect weather for the rowers to get some rowing done…
I heard from both David and Stacey today with different stories as to their day’s activities. David, being 6 hours ahead of us was winding down. He had been to this place… It is an Indonesian Island – Nusa Penida.
He enjoyed exploring, but had to scramble to get to the ferry and back to Bali to meet his teaching responsibilities. With a week left in Bali, he has plans to climb the highest mountain in Bali and also to go canyoning. No doubt, he will find both adventures challenging but fun. He’s looking like he’s lost some weight. While in Bali, he has joined a gym to get cycling fit for his bike journey through South Korea.
Meanwhile Stacey discovered the online option for car licensing and has renewed her car virtually. The deal is the car license disc will be couriered to her. I’m excited she will be our guinea pig to see if this works. Talking of which, Mike is our resident pensioner and he gets queue benefits at the FH licensing department. He went there this morning to get my old Atos transferred out of my name & into Julian’s as, after David bought it from me, it was left in my name. Then Julian bought it from David, so it’s time to go from a CA number plate to a Gauteng one. We will miss the number plate CA84888! While Mike was there he renewed my car’s licence.
Next up: pick up my new reading glasses & biscuits from Aunty Ivy. So that was a profitable day.
Romans 15:13
I pray that God, the Source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
