Today was the day…
I bought a new pair of binoculars. These are a very generous early birthday present from Mike.
I’m so excited. They are fabulous.
For the rest of the day, we have been trying to get on a whale watching trip across False Bay but it keeps getting cancelled. It was due to be this afternoon, but the weather wasn’t good enough so we’ll wait for a better time.
In its place, we took Julian to Alphen Trail and did the shorter walk enjoying the beauty of it.
We came home via the Alphen Hotel where we enjoyed afternoon tea.
On our way home, I got a call from a neighbour a little up our road who invited us for last minute cheese and wine at her house to meet a few of her neighbours. I think what happened was she invited others who couldn’t come, had too much food and needed some extra bods, so we got the call. We got all the news from the plots and purchases of property that side of the street and it was interesting to say the least. It’s always good to keep in touch with the people in the neighbourhood.
Home and now I’m ready for bed.
