Whale off Fish Hoek

Sunday

Today was the day…

We had a leisurely morning, which started off at Blue Water cafe for breakfast. It was a good one. We have been going to Blue Water cafe for  more than a decade. They are at Imhoff Farm and with the ups and downs of the last few years, I’m glad they have survived. The food is good and plentiful & the view is beautiful. This photo I took in February 2012. Not much has changed except the massive ‘Faraway Tree’ has had to be cut back to it’s trunk.

From breakfast we came home and had a quiet Sunday, punctuated by a video chat with Stacey. In the afternoon, the guest checked out at 4pm and the next ones are just about to arrive. Mike & I were waiting with our supplies as the 4pm guest left and we jumped into action. It took us 1 hour to pull the place back into shape.

Right afterwards, I noticed the whale watching boat off Fish Hoek. If the boat is off Fish Hoek, it means a whale is off Fish Hoek.  One day we’ll be on the boat. Today was a potential day but needing to clean the Seaview Apartment and see guest in meant we had to forgo the opportunity. It was the ideal day as the boat went right past our house, so did the whale they were following! Mike got some great photos through the telescope. It looks like a Southern Right me.

I’m hoping in a couple of weeks we can try get on the boat and hopefully a whale will obligingly be in Fish Hoek again. I sent the photos to the boat company for fun! They enjoyed that.

So it’s been a satisfying day and I’m ready to jump into my email tomorrow morning.

We all know 1 Corinthians 13 is the love chapter of the Bible. Look at 1 Corinthians 14:1

Follow the way of love

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
