2-32pm
This is how my day began: I did my normal wake up routine and then when I came downstairs to have my quiet time, the little table in front of my chair, looked like this…
This was the inside of the card…
Mike has always been very creative and brilliantly talented at making “Hagar” cards for me. I recall the first one he made for me was the Valentine’s Day after Stacey was born. He had a picture of Hagar and Helga on the front with the words, ‘Last year when I asked you to be my Valentine, I didn’t know it was going to change the two of us…” and on the inside he had a picture of a baby viking and the caption read “from two to three!” Big grin! 😀 Love having the name Helga!
Off to work I went and had the most amazing testimony of Ian McCormack in the studio. The phone has been VERY busy at CCFm this morning as people have tried to get copies of the story. It can be read and downloaded along with his book at www.aglimpseintoeternity.org Once you have downloaded it, Ian does not mind you giving them away. Here we are in the studio afterwards…
Then it was onto Bible study for a good chinwag and then 30 minutes with Andy Stanley. His message is ‘It’s Personal.’ God’s love for us is not general. It is unique and intimate and personal.
On my way home, I stopped by the Mall to pick up a Valentine treat for Mike…
The 9 is for 2 x 9 holes of golf at any course of his choice (except Simonstown – which is where we play all the time). He’ll get that when he gets home. Then we are going out for dinner! Remember? The card said so! 🙂
While all the world is celebrating the joys and complications of love, there is One whose love never changes. And this morning, I was reminded He has All Authority!
Today I finished reading the book of Matthew and as I read the closing verses, one phrase in particular jumped out at me: All Authority. Matthew 28:28 “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘ All Authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.’ “ ALL Authority! There is power in the Name of Jesus. He is over all. There is no one higher, more powerful or more influential than Jesus Christ. He has ALL authority – complete power – the final say. He’s the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End; He’s the Keeper of creation and the Creator of all. He’s the Architect of the universe and the Manager of all time. He always was, He is and He always will be unmoved, unchanged, undefeated, but never undone. Whatever your circumstances, call on Him. He has ALL authority. There is Power in the Name of Jesus. Just speak His Name and He will hear you and help you.
God bless you today!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
