He Died….And Woke Up In The Mortuary!

3-13pm

It’s not often you hear a really dramatic story of an ordinary young man who has an extraordinary, life changing experience. So life changing, that he is still talking about it 30 years later. That’s the story of Ian McCormack, now documented in a full feature, soon to be released movie…the premier of which I saw this morning…

The Perfect WaveA movie written and produced by South Africans, spearheaded and directed by Bruce MacDonald, it features several Cape Town scenes which is fantastic. The acting is authentic and professional.

The story realistic and gripping. It’s absolutely worth seeing when it releases at the end of the month. With a strong gospel message, it’s a great outreach tool that will really grab the attention of young surfers. I have the privilege of having Ian McCormack in the Rise and Shine studio tomorrow from 7-8am. Tune in, either on 107.5 CapeTown wide, 96.7 in the Fish Hoek area or on www.ccfm.org.za across the world. I’m really looking forward to hearing his story first hand.

After the movie, Riana and I stopped by a cute coffee shop for a cappuccino…

Vovo TeloThe view from the window…

View from Vovo TeloIt’s such a beautiful overcast day & Mike has just got home, so I must get this posted and then I’m planning on a walk up a steep hill!

Today I read Psalm 34.

Taste and See! This is a well known Bible verse from Psalm 34:8

“Taste and see that the Lord is good – blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.”

Whenever I read it, I am struck by the “Taste and see”. From the outside looking in, Christianity and religion sounds radical! All the talk about Jesus coming to earth 2000 years ago and dying, brutally, crucified, being raised from the dead. It all sounds quite foreign and unreal. But it’s not! Hope for the world lies in the fact that Jesus was raised from the dead. And through Him we can have a relationship with God. When you start speaking to God and seeking advice from Him, you get a taste of His amazing grace and love for you. Out of a relationship with Him comes peace and blessing, joy and happiness. Absolutely BLESSED is the man or woman who takes refuge in Him. I’m in! Are you?!

God bless you richly!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gratitude Pic…I am grateful that I am capable of doing this…a bit blurred because I was moving and laughing! Thanks Mel for making me stronger!
