Mike at Work on the Balcony

Monday

Dear Elsie,

Today was the day we didn’t go to the beach. It was a little on the cool side and I had a bounty of work to do. I didn’t know it would only take me 6 hours.

Mike too had work to do. He put a plug in on the balcony, a task that has not been important, so it waited 3 years. Today it got done.

Now I can work on the balcony. Mike also sprayed some tacks so they don’t rust. There is maintenance to be done, including painting the balcony ceiling.

All in good time.

Today was the day I went to the doctor to get a new prescription. All is well. He also froze off a sun spot on my right arm. Hopefully that will heal and be gone.

In Swellendam, the family are seeing Ron is being cared for. We are praying for him daily. On Wednesday, they will take him to the oncologist and see what can be done to make him more comfortable. It’s not easy to be told your days are numbered, but it does give you the opportunity to put your house in order and spend time with those you love.

Isaiah 48:17
This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.”

We will follow Him.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx
