Today was the day…
We ticked off a lot of decisions at the building site. Werner met us there at around about 9am and we went through the list from yesterday and added a number of discussions to it. This was one of them. There is a particularly messy area at the front door. The front door faces Fish Hoek…
And gets the full force of winter’s north wind, so when a storm is blowing in and you open the door, it just about gets ripped out of your hand. The entrance doesn’t have easy access right now as it’s about two steps up from the ground. You have to launch yourself up from a rocky exterior while hanging onto the door. Everyone is doing this much to the detriment of the door! Mike and Werner had a discussion of what Mike wants at the entrance to make this better.
We made decisions regarding the architraves and the cornices as well as the tiles for the stairs. We worked out we needed another 48m2 of my floor tiles, so I called CTM to find out if they had. They had 27 boxes which is 47.8m2. I’ll take it! Mike and I went across and paid. Werner will pick them up tomorrow.
We came home and Mike got stuck into the kitchen design. I had a chat with Stacey and did a little cleaning and finished my tax.
Yeah!
Saturday evening and the president is due to speak in half an hour. We are expecting an announcement that we will be changing to level 2 lock-down, allowing more of the economy to open up. I will be listening to see if gyms open up!
