Magic of Boerseep

Friday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day I learned about the real magic of Boerseep. This is laundry soap that is amazing. We’ve had it for a while, but today it really proved its value. Tomorrow we have guests arriving so early this morning, Mike and I went down and cleaned the apartment. I put the new linen on the bed and as I finished, I noticed the duvet cover had a spot of orange just in the wrong place. Argggh! It looked like a blot of tomato. It was about where the orange dot is. I got little bit of paper towel and put some jik on it and carefully patted it.

It spread! Ah man! Then I thought if I turned the duvet sideways, with the opening at the side, I could put the throw over the mark, so I did that and then after we had finished cleaning, we went to the beach.

The sea was so flat and because we were late the net was out and it was a lovely swim. I just loved it. When we got home, I went back to the apartment, looked at the hidden mark & it was still there. As the guests are only arriving tomorrow, I have time, so I took the duvet cover off and took it upstairs for some proper treatment. Enter Boerseep!

We’ve had this for ages and it has been used from time to time, but with this stubborn little badly placed mark it worked like a charm. I scrubbed the spot for a few minutes, rinsed it and put the cover through the wash. I then tumble dried it to cupboard dry and hung it on the inside line to finish off. This evening I put it back on the bed and it was perfect.

I love this set of linen and even though it’s had a lot of wear, it’s still got lots of life in it.  Go Ouma Hannah’s Boerseep!

I worked about 4 or 5 hours and finally got a bulging inbox with 740 emails down to zero. It was very satisfying!

I also stopped by Aunty Ivy’s and picked up a lot of biscuits for future guests! Always appreciate her hard work. They freeze perfectly.

With that done and my inbox empty, it’s a relaxing weekend that lies ahead.

Psalm 20:7
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the Name of the Lord our God.

There’s a truth.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
