Look Out For The Beautiful Things

12-43pm

All of us are different. We have varying personalities, different preferences and all sorts of likes and dislikes. All of us have within ourselves the ability to see the things we like. We just need to remind ourselves to notice them.

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve taken a photo of some of the beautiful things that crossed my path.  Some are  things that had me stare in wonder. Others are everyday things that are in my life. The act of taking a photograph has been an opportunity to pause in the middle of whatever I’m doing to enjoy the spectacle before me, no matter how seemingly ‘normal’  it is. It has carried with it a specialness that I enjoyed.

These are all from this month. I got such a fright when I innocently went to take washing off the line and as I reached up to the peg…

Chameleon on the washingIt was a chameleon molting…the chameleon skin does not grow with its body, so as it gets bigger, one layer comes off leaving the next layer fresh and sparkly below… another wonderful little perfect creation.

Chameleon shedding its skinI relocated it back to the lavender bush.

Then one rainy day there was a stunning sunset…ahh, photos never do the real thing justice…

SunsetI laughed yesterday when Truffles hogged the bed and I couldn’t bring myself to turf her off so I could make it. Turns out the bed only got made at lunchtime… #catsrule

Truffles hogged the bedThe guests that came the other day bought with them one of the best bunches of pink roses I have ever seen…

Pink rosesSpectacular colour. I’m nursing them, hoping they will last a week or more! 🙂

And finally, at my Friday morning Bible study, I took a photo of my friend as she prayed for another special friend. There is power in praying for friends.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Look out for the beautiful things in life. They make the day special and help us nurture an attitude of gratitude.  Have a fabulous weekend!

Keep the smile going!

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
