Just a couple of days. I’m laying down my keyboard and my mouse, leaving my laptop and cell phone locked away and we’re heading for the hills. The house will be cared for. The cat will be fed.
I can tell you, I will return very rested. We will read, soak, rest, walk, talk, sleep and eat!
This morning Mike and I went down to the pond to see if it had any more water in it. I thought it did.
12th June 2017 – 8am
9th June 2017 – the rain all day on the 8th did the trick.
7th June 2017 – 8am (the storm rolled in the night before and it rained heavily) but still there were no puddles

The weather today has been very overcast and blustery with the threat of rain interspersed with the odd shower or two. It’s expected to continue like this through tomorrow.
Today, apart from work, I did some housework and also downloaded 20 chapters of Pride and Prejudice onto my tablet, which is going with us. You just have to know about this website…it’s called Podcast Addict and it opens up audio books, the Bible and countless other podcasts for free to anyone who wants to listen. It’s worth checking out.
