It Was a 1-Lizard Day

Monday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day that I worked 9 hours and the cats caught only 1 lizard. They get terribly excited over this new-found ability of being able to track down ‘wild’ life around the house. I only realised what was going on when I heard much scratching and scuffling. Then I spotted Claw’d with something in his mouth. I rushed to try to save the little critter but Claw’d would have none of it. Eventually, I got out the snacks and pretended to get out a snack so he would drop it. My ploy worked. The little black lizard fell to the floor. I dropped a drying up cloth over it, scooped up the cats and closed them in the study. After putting the lizard ,which had survived the ordeal, in a bowl, I took it outside and let it go.

Then I let the cats out and they spent the next several minutes looking for their missing prey.

Naughty cats.

While talking of the cats, they have been enjoying limited TV time.

And the wind has continued to howl. I took this photo yesterday but today is no different. We are hoping it will die down a bit tomorrow.

So that’s Monday and I’m grateful for it. The Lord’s mercies are new every morning. The other thing about today is it’s Julian’s birthday! Happy happy birthday Julian!

Isaiah 30:18
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;  therefore He will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
