It Appeals to my Sense of Efficiency and Frugality

As I drove away from this today, I thought how much it appeals to my sense of efficiency and frugality. I had said I would be home by 1pm . At 12-41pm, I pulled up at the Car Wash and took this photo…

I paid my R50, had my aerial taken off and my back windscreen wipers taped down. Then the assistant cleaned my hub cabs. As soon as that was done, off we went for a shampoo. This part is always very weird. If you are claustrophobic, you won’t like it. It only takes a few moments before the big brush rolls over the car.

And you see daylight again. This is the rinse. What’s weird about this phase is that if you look straight ahead, you get the sensation that the car is rising. It’s a very strange feeling. To normalise I looked left or right and could see that it was not flying off into the distance.

Finally the drier comes on…

Once that’s done, the car rolls forward and another assistant summons you forward. He finishes off by putting the aerial back on and un-taping the back windscreen wiper. He then dries the windows and you’re good to go.

For R50 my car gets two assistants and a machine working on it. Best of all, I was done by 12-49 and home by 12-55pm.

Yep, definitely appeals to my sense of efficiency.

There was another thing I got done today which also was surprisingly quick. I got a car licence paid for. I think I was in and out of the Fish Hoek Licensing department in 20 minutes.

With these things happening and gym, I only worked 5 hours and 14 minutes. We also swung by Echo to see the final piles being finished. They should be off site in the next day or two.

Things will be quiet for a bit, while the plans grind through Council. Meanwhile, our builder is meeting with Gareth who is building on the land behind us. Perhaps they will get started first, which means they will sort the access out before we need it!

Romans 10:17

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

I did quite a bit of walking today. I left FH Traffic department and walked to Echo (up about 130 steps). Then I went to gym. I spent about 40 minutes on the treadmill and then did the super circuit.

Braces:

Day 197.
