Increasing Success Levels

David heard a quote the other day.

“Success isn’t owned. It’s leased, and rent is due every day.” (J.J. Watts)

It’s quite a thought-provoking quote and one when put into practice will certainly increase productivity, which is what I think it is designed to do.

Every day we are faced with choices – to do or not to do. We can choose to exercise. We can choose not to. If we want to get and stay fit, choose to exercise. It’s part of the success lease and exercising is paying the rent.

The same goes for work. If I do something extra every day that will promote success in the future, it’s paying the rent.

I like that quote!

Implementing it is a bit harder but worth trying.

One of the things I did today was made a move on getting an unabridged copy of my marriage certificate.

It was a small piece of paper and got lost a number of years ago. There was a time when it lived in my ID book, then one day it was gone and was never seen again. We have a very poor copy of it. So today, I wrote to Noma who is a bit of a genius at getting documentation out of the deep caverns of governmental departments. I have sent several applicants to her and so I called her and she very quickly sent me the required documentation. I filled in the marriage certificate replacement form and made colour copies of our passports as well as a copy of the original marriage certificate with our IDs. The whole lot was scanned in and then converted to PDF and emailed it off.  I’m not sure how long it will take, but hopefully it will come in about 4 weeks and that will be enough time for Mike to use it for his Schengen visa application required for our visit to Europe.

#330 of my 1000 thanks is to have got my marriage certificate application form sent off!

This evening it poured with rain and so tomorrow I will go and take a photo of the Sun Valley pond again. Talking of rain, the Cape Town dam levels have risen by 3.7%

We are grateful. We are still using our tank water for flushing and trying to use less than 100 litres per day.

Psalm 31:19

How abundant are the good things that You have stored up for those who fear You…

I continue to trust God in all things.

These are the days!

Keep the smile going!

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
