If you do this, it’s hard, but it’s worth it. It’s getting up really early and getting some exercise. That’s what I did this morning. By 8am, I was home, showered and drinking coffee. Mike had run, done a number of other chores and was dressed for the day.
It makes such a difference getting up early and getting on with the day, but it’s hard work and I don’t think I can do it every day. I’ll try again tomorrow, but I need to be up even earlier to get some work done at 5am.
The unusual thing about today was that Julian only went back to Johannesburg this afternoon. I worked all morning and then had lunch…
Julian came round and we left for the airport not long after 2pm. The traffic going was very light – coming home it was busier but not rush hour. Before Julian left, he gave me another book to read. It’s easy because it’s short stories, so I’ve read the first. These are now the books on my bedside table and what I’m going to climb into bed to read in a short while…
I’m about half way through Persuasion and really enjoying it. It does take discipline to put down the technology but again, if you do this, it’s worth it!
Tomorrow, I need to go down to Echo. There is work being done there each day as they plan where the piles will go. Today we were told there would be an extra one. They are preparing them, so I want to go and take a few photos.
Exciting days.
Someone needs this message today:
1 Peter 5:10
The God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
Amen!
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
