High Protein Eatin’ – Day Three – Also Granny Had A Fall…

3-41pm

I had a wonderful night’s sleep, waking not long before 8am! 🙂 Feeling better, Mike & I set off for breakfast…

We did a bit of shopping and then came home. Not long after we got home, our Saturday help, Fungai, called me to help pick Granny up, as was lying on the floor. I called Mike to help and between the three of us we managed to get her onto the bed. She was very ‘spaced out’, looking at us without seeing us and very non responsive. I stayed with her for a while and eventually she started to come out of her stupor. She must have had a T.I.A. I left her to rest, going back at lunchtime to give her soup and tea. Then a little while later I went to see if I could mobilise her. It was then that I found her fall had caused more damage than I initially thought. She could not put any weight on her left leg! Oh dear! I called the Dr and he came and said we had to admit her to hospital. So we arranged all that – hence the late blog. I went in the back of the ambulance with her…

Poor Granny! Mike is at the hospital. I’ve just come home to put my blog up and I’ll go & join him.

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength,  always ready to help in times of trouble.

High Protein Eatin’: – For lunch I had yoghurt and my fruit of the day which was an entire kiwi fruit. For a snack this afternoon I had some almonds. Tonight after we’ve got Granny settled, we’ll go out for steak (or I may have fish!)

In highs and lows,

We are in His Grip,

Love Helga xx 🙂
