Headlines I Never Thought I’d Ever See

Today, as I checked the news sites on my cell phone, this is the one that really grabbed my attention. Certainly headlines I never thought I’d ever see…

What I thought would happen is that Mugabe’s health would deteriorate and that he would die. I never believed I would see him chucked out of his position as leader of the ruling party, because that is exactly what has happened. He has to resign from his position as President and if he doesn’t, so the report says, he will be impeached.

One way or the other, Mugabe’s reign has come to an end. This should have happened years ago. The tipping point was him trying to get his wife, Grace to take over his position. There seems to have been some slimy work going on behind the scenes. It’s all come crumbling down though, for both the 93-year-old, his 52-year-old wife and all their children. The lifestyle to which they have been accustomed is surely about to change, radically. This is what one of Mugabe’s sons posted on Instagram (From News 24)

While the hope is that the future of Zimbabwe is looking brighter, the chances for rapid radical and prosperous change is slim. The economy cannot change overnight. It takes time to rebuild a country, but with honesty and integrity, it can be done. Time will tell whether the next rule is a man of honesty and integrity.

#482 of my 1000 thanks is that I live in Cape Town. This is surely the most beautiful city on the planet. I took Julian to the airport and on the way, we stopped at the Blue Cafe in Tamboerskloof…

As I came over Ou Kaapse Weg, the sea off Noordhoek Beach was spectacular…the sun sparkled on the water and it just looked amazing.

Psalm 95:4-5

In whose hand are the depths of the earth. The peaks of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for it was He who made it, and His hands formed the dry land.

We get to enjoy it!

Imagine getting to live in Cape Town? And I do! What a blessing!

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
