Green Sauce Round 2

Sunday

Today was the day…

We rested. No beach run / swim. Instead we lay in bed and enjoyed the sunrise.

The day passed peacefully with our regular chat with the Swellendam family right after breakfast.

I did some reading and then it was lunchtime. We walked down to Barracudas. When we asked what was on the 3-course menu, this time it was fish cakes as a starter. Guess what it came with? Yep. Green chili sauce.

Only this time we were wise to it. Mike had smaller portions and the meal went off without a hitch. One thing we did learn from last week is that it’s a good idea to take dessert home with us, so that’s what we did. We got home and had it with coffee.

The weather today began cloudy and moved to cool, but this afternoon has been sunny and peaceful.

We had a little oopsie with the dishwasher. It was time to run a special cleaning agent through it, but inadvertently engine cleaner got poured in instead! We couldn’t understand why there was this putrid smell of turps hanging around the scullery. Mike moved the whole machine forward and examined the piping at the back. He was trying to figure out what had happened when he found the engine cleaner bottle. That was the smell we were smelling! Anyway, it’s now been thoroughly rinsed with the right cleaning agent and the engine cleaner has been safely stored somewhere else! The dishwasher is clean! Apart from the smell, no damage was done.

A new week and new month lie ahead. We trust God for it.

1 Peter 5:7

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
