I Forgot my Mask!

Monday

Today was the day…

We exercised, but didn’t swim. The wind was blowing and my experience last week in the sea in similar conditions was rather washing machine like, so I passed. Instead, Mike and I did 5km.  Without our swim, we felt completely out of our regular routine. Instead of arriving home cold and seeking a hot shower, we arrived boiling hot seeking cool water!

I worked the morning and then this afternoon I walked to the old house to pick up my car.

I forgot to take my mask.

Walking there wasn’t the problem. I was sure there would be a mask in my car. It took an hour to get there. As soon as I got in the car, I started looking. There was no spare mask in the car. By then I was over worrying.  I could make a plan. I drove to Harry Goeman’s Garden Centre. I was on a mission to buy potting soil and compost.  I parked in the car park and looked up their phone number on Google. Then I called them, explained I was sitting in the car and had no mask.  One of the workers took in my money, came out with a receipt, change,  my potting soil and compost, packed it in the boot, accepted a tip and off I went.  It was actually way easier than going inside to find the stuff!  Drive through garden shopping!

The vine is finally going to be planted tomorrow.

While walking, I tried to memorise more of John 1. I’ve been trying to learn it off by heart. Today I got up to verse 13. I was struck again by verses 12 & 13. They spoke to me 42 years ago and their power continues to resonate with me today…

So powerful.

Enough for today.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
