Grappling!

Today I have been grappling. We have to make a decision as to whether we should do an overseas holiday this year or not.

Last year we booked the southbound Genoa – Durban cruise for October.   Last night I was looking up accommodation etc for the week before the cruise. My words to Mike this morning were that I really felt we needed to get clear guidance from the Lord to do this trip. So that’s what I’m waiting for..

I phoned MSC today to see what the implications are for us changing cruise dates. When the lady said it was no problem apart from the penalty and she could do it immediately, I thought I had our answer. Then she said ‘oh no, the dates are not open for 2020’s October south bound cruise – she could only change it to the northbound Durban to Venice in April”. I don’t want to do that one.  I know that for sure.

And so I’ve done nothing. Mike’s wise advise is to wait a few days and see how our answer comes.

Yesterday I got my applicant CVs down to 1052. When I ran the search for new ones this morning there were 1065! I ended the day with the number down to 1032, so we’ll see how many there are again tomorrow.  My strategy is to do all the new ones that come in on a day as well as at least ten more. Eventually, I will get through them all, but it will take a few months.  Perhaps on Saturday I’ll work on them for a few hours and try to get them back down to about 900.  This is me at my desk in 2016. Not much has changed. What a blessing to be able to work from home. My office is attached to my bedroom. I hop out of bed and walk to work. 🙂

This week has flown by. It’s almost the weekend where the pace changes – a different routine.

Psalm 68:5

Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in His holy habitation.

Such a comforting Bible verse.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

90 minute spinning class. Shew! It was hectic. I wore my swimming costume with a vest over it. At the end, the vest was drenched. It was hard work. Afterwards, I went for a swim. I didn’t do much. I had the pool to myself. I did a few lazy lengths and lolled around enjoying the water.

Day 58
