Tuesday
When Mike’s Mom (aka Granny) was alive, she liked to collect stories and inspirational poems and prose. Sometimes, she cut them out of magazines. Other times, she meticulously copied them down. All were stored in an A4 exercise book and today I found it. It was quite poignant reading some of what she had kept. She was naturally heart-broken when her husband died suddenly in 1999. She lived alone until 2002 when she moved to Cape Town. One doesn’t understand the deep pain of losing a spouse until it happens.
She identified with these words.
There’s a lot more in the book. A varied mix…
Granny also enjoyed humour!
Granny, I still miss her.
Glad to have her book!
Today, was a varied day. I did some work, went to gym, did some shopping, did more work, had a team meeting on Skype and went for a walk around the block with Mike.
It was a good day.
Psalm 119:130
The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
Gym:
- 30 minutes walking (listened to Isaiah chapters 5-10)
- 30 minutes swimming! Yes. I got back in the pool and it was wonderful.
