Sorting and Shredding

Monday

Over the last month, I’ve only worked on average 22 hours a week, which has been very comfortable but I have asked myself what did I do with the rest of the time? Today, as I got to the end of the paid work that needed to be done, and after Mike and I walked 6km, I set about sorting and shredding. I’ve cleaned out a load of paper and the three-tier tray next to my desk is looking particularly clean. During the sorting, I came across a few photos which I have scanned. The first one is at my nursing graduation which was in 1987 – I was 5 months pregnant with Stacey…

The second one is about 5 months later – Stacey was about 3 weeks old…

I was 23 and Mike was 36.

Yip. Time has passed! I also found this one again. Goes back even further. I think I may have posted it here before. Mike getting his stripes for corporal in 1969. He was 18.

When Mike was heading for university, I had just celebrated my  5th birthday!

So blessed to have him 68, healthy and happy.

This afternoon, he dragged out all his files and started sorting them out. We work differently. I get overwhelmed taking out everything. I need to take out one at a time. Tomorrow, I will do some more.

I also found this quote written on a napkin “In the darkest of places you learn the biggest lessons.”

The other thing that happened today was a whatsapp to say the status of our building application had changed…

Edging forward.

Proverbs 4:6

Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Mike and I walked 6km. I’ve done 11355 steps today.
