Gotta Love Fridays

Friday

Today was the day…

…that went past gently. I woke up later than usual and so we didn’t go out for an early walk. Instead we lay in and I did a bit of work before breakfast.

Courage and Schoolboy arrived. Schoolboy started digging the foundation for the back wall. Courage went down to continue with the renovations in the cottage.  In the afternoon, they got some of the fencing up along the back of the property. It’s the first sign of our security going up.

Mike and I went for a mid-morning beach walk and swim. The shark nets were in place. The tide was high so I took a lovely long swim out to the drum which is the little blue dot on the right of the shark net in the picture below. This photo is taken from the cat walk. I swam from the beach.

One of the other things that was going down on the beach is its levelling. They are moving sand away from the steps and into the sea…

It was warm and sunny and the swim was wonderful. We got home around lunchtime. In the afternoon I did some more work and I did some reading.

We had a lovely evening and are looking forward to the weekend.

There are new holiday makers next door. A group of youngsters arrived. I was expecting some music and noise, but have been surprised. I saw them on the balcony for a short while this afternoon, but generally they are quiet, stay indoors and are not partying up a storm. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

Time to make tea.

Lamentations 3:22-23

The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
