Golf at Rondebosch Golf Club

We scored Rondebosch Golf Club quite highly today. This is our first golf outing for 2017 and the day was nothing less than majestic! I always find golfers friendly and today we were warmly welcomed at RGC.  The dominating feature of the club is the imposing view of the back of Table Mountain – it’s visible from most of the course and provides lots of photo opportunities. Mountain and birds.

They may use that to water the greens and fairways – they are both in amazing condition and the sprinklers were on across at least 3 fairways while we were there. Lush green fairways and very fast greens were the order of the day.

“Please consider using a driving club you have the most confidence in!” Love it!

Mike played as well as can be expected having never played the course before. Families of Egyptian geese so common to other Golf clubs have also made Rondebosch their home…

Altogether it was a lovely morning out and we were well satisfied on our return. Here’s how Rondebosch Golf Club scored:

  • Welcome – very friendly – 5/5
  • Map for visitors – YES! 5/5
  • Fairways – excellent condition – 5/5
  • Greens – excellent condition – 5/5
  • Locker room – this was the only so-so point. They had what was required, but are a bit dated. One thing that they did have which many others don’t are bath mats to step onto after a shower. That little detail is overlooked by golf clubs across the country (including plush Steenberg Estate), but it was a very nice feature. 3/5

Overall: 4.5/5

That’s pretty darn good! We hope to make this a monthly thing! Another golf club next month.

So that was my golfing morning. I came home to work and now I am going to make fish for dinner.

#158 of my 1000 thanks is that right there….enjoying another view of Cape Town that I have never seen before!

Ecclesiastes 2:24

There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God..

Solomon’s wisdom.

These are the days!

Keep the smile going!

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
