Golf and Swimming (Videos)

Today has been a great day. I woke up really early. The internet here is far more effective when there is no one using it! I was able to get in more than an hour’s work, did my Bible reading and had a 45 minute gym workout, all before Mike woke up! If it was exercise I wanted today, I have certainly got it! After I got back from gym, Mike woke up and we went for breakfast. At the end of the meal, he said he was going to play 9 holes at Caledon Golf Course. I said, “enjoy yourself, I’ll hang around here and do some work.” He went back to the room to get ready. I sat for a few minutes and then decided that hanging around the resort on my own for the morning may be a bit lonesome, so I hot-footed it back to the room to tell him I’d join him. Meantime, he had got back to the room and thought playing golf on his own may be a bit lonesome and was hot-footing it back to the dining room to find me! We met in the passage! We sat for a while working and then got ready for golf and off we went!

Caledon Club House…

Mike on the first tee….

We had some fun. Mike has been practicing hitting his driver off the grass with no tee. On one of the long holes, his second shot was far enough away to use his driver. He had been playing with two balls. The first ball got on the green. I videoed the second ball…you can’t see where the ball lands, but it had headed straight for the flag…

This was where it landed…this was for birdie. He got close and made par.

That was fun. When we got back to the resort we went for a swim in the lap pool and Mike videoed me swimming. I’m lifting my head a bit too much when I turn to breath, but I sure look better than I used to….

When we finished swimming in the lap pool we went to the sauna…

And after getting ourselves nice and warm, we jumped into the “frigidarium” pool…

We rotated through the steam room, cold pool and sauna. We’ve actually done that a couple of times today. It’s so refreshing and relaxing.

Shortly we are heading out for food. I am hungry.

#590 of my 1000 thanks is tomorrow I get to see Stacey! 🙂

John 1:16
