Road Trip

Yay. Today it was fun to wake up and know that we were going on a short road trip. The car is loaded. The cot for my first grandchild does not quite fit, so we have the sides of it on the roof of the car. Fun stuff. Last night we took it for a run to see and it was soooo noisy. Mike made some adjustments and today it has been fine. It’s completely flat against the roof so doesn’t look bad at all. If it didn’t work putting them up there while we were driving, we would have been in the soup as they sure are not fitting inside the car!

We had our morning coffee a little late (around 7-30am), but as a result it hit the sweet spot as I arrived at gym. I ran 1.5km in just under 10 minutes and completed 2.5km in 16 minutes 22 seconds. I then hopped on the bike and did 10km in 24 minutes and 27 seconds and then I swam 16 lengths in about 10 minutes.

Mike and I left home some time after 10. We were soon cruising into Caledon with no strange mishaps…

We checked in and then walked up to the Freshstop for a bite to eat and a cappuccino seeing as we hadn’t had breakfast. It was by now about 12-30. After that, our first stop was the Victorian Pool which is as hot as I remember….

This is the view from our room…

There is a great deal of pleasure leaving the city and heading for the country, where, at the moment there is more water! There are no signs that say we must please conserve water here. I had a shower and did not turn it off. I went to the loo and flushed immediately. It was normal! What a pleasure. We are here for two nights and then onto Stacey and Adrian for the weekend.

#589 of my 1000 thanks – Road Trip!

Romans 5:2

Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

I feel God’s grace upon us. I feel it when I see the wonderful overcast weather here in Caledon and I marvel that we can come here in summer and find a perfect cool day!

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
