Getting our Hosting Going

Thursday

Today was the day…

I got TWO bookings! The one came through late last night when I was fast asleep. When I woke up this morning there it was  –  a couple wanting to come tomorrow and stay until Monday. Then later in the morning, I received a message from the ladies who were the first booking but second arrival. They have rebooked for 8 nights in October.  We are getting more bookings than anticipated, that’s for sure! We just need to do a little touch up tomorrow morning and we will be ready for them. I spent some time today improving the guest information. I bought a new flip file and had the contents printed in colour which looks so much better than black and white.

Mike and I headed for the beach just as the sun popped over the horizon..

It was cold walking down to the beach. The air temperature was about 14C which made the sea not feel so cold because it was the same temperature! The tide was super low but some of the waves were massive. They came in occasional sets with lulls in between. The first of the set was reasonable, the second bigger and the third a monster. I found myself staring into a huge wave moments before it broke right on top of me. Just in time, I ducked beneath it but got swept up in its power and unceremoniously dunked! Ah man, I hate it when that happens. The biggest danger in the sea, I don’t believe to be sharks, but the power of the ocean itself. You have to be so careful. Respect the power of the sea.  Walking home, my feet have never been so cold. They were like blocks of ice from my ankles to my toes.

I had a good day’s work. We walked to Fish Hoek in the afternoon to do the printing and pick up a few groceries. David joined us for dinner.

I now have a little more work to do before calling it a day.

Jeremiah 33:3

“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
