Spotted!

Friday

Today was the day…

We were spotted at the beach. I won’t say stalked! We can never take photos of ourselves at the beach, so what fun to open my cell phone on our return home this morning to see these pics. Pastor John had been breakfasting at the beach and seen us. Quick thinking, he took a few photos! Mike off on his run…

Me first exchanging a few words with (visiting from Hogsback) ex-local Rob…

And then heading towards the sea…

Thanks John!

This was Mike marching to the beach. You can see the storm clouds gathering. Rain was coming.

The sea was in a completely different mood to yesterday. Instead of the rhythmic well formed waves that came rumbling in yesterday, today they were small choppy waves that came from a few different directions. The wind whipped the top of them off and sent a spray of water into the sky. As I was swimming, it felt like it was raining. When I stopped to see, there was no sign of rain – it was the spray from the sea. No sooner had we got changed, it began to spit. We raced for home and arrived just before any significant rain fell. Throughout today there have been showers, interspersed with downpours.

Our guests who are coming for the weekend are expected any moment. We have added a heater to the guesthouse so now there are two. I also took a basket from Julian’s apartment and made a special little package of winter things, hoping to make the place a little cosier…

I didn’t realise I’d enjoy doing this so much!

Weekend lies ahead. It’s the end of a profitable week.

25th June – my older brother Arnold was born on this day in 1960. He would have turned 61 today. We miss him.

Proverbs 16:4

The Lord has made everything for His own purposes.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
