Foundations and Walls

Wednesday

Dear Elsie

Today I saw your house from the back and it is really coming along.  It’s looking so good and enormous! I’m looking forward to visiting when it’s finished.

For me today was relatively quiet from a work perspective. I am missing knitting – I need to find something to knit, so when I do have free time, I can pick up my knitting. The day was slightly windy but clear skies which are expected to continue tomorrow before a cold front sweeps in.

Mike, meanwhile, was keeping a close eye on Courage and Brian so they get the back wall perfect! Foundations laid. What makes this different to the other walls is that part of it will be part of the top house foundations.

Brian putting some finishing touches to the part that’s built.

One other thing I did see today were people mooching about on the mountainside plots on the other side of the blue house. We have seen some interest in the mountainside plots above us. The couple I saw were on 14 or 16 Gleneagles. We are hoping the under offer red triangle plot will be bought to someone who can swing their influence to get Gleneagles Road or at least part of it built.

If Gleneagles Rd gets built, there will be dozens of plot owners who start to consider building and it will take all the pressure off our street below. We will have front row seats to see it all happening – which I’m sure will have a noisy downside. We are enjoying the peace in the meantime.

Psalm 124:8
Our help is in the Name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
