A Numbers Day

Thursday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day you sat down and wrote out 1-99.  You got up to 57 and then said your brain was tired.

But then, after your brain recovered, you sat down all by yourself and following the pattern, you finished the grid.

Well done! That was fun.

It was also a number day for David who has been using his spare time on a Chess YouTube Channel. It has done fairly well and his video from yesterday has had 12000 views, which is pretty good for one day. As a result he also got more than 150 additional subscribers. He’s on his way to the monetizing magic number of 1000 subscribers.

He has found chess videos a lot easier to record than music videos that’s for sure. He was up early this morning and came down for coffee and for pre-sunrise splendour.

His camera takes better photos than mine.

David also went out today, so it was 100 steps down to the road, a drive to Olympia, then to Muizenberg. He stopped in Fish Hoek on the way home for a hair cut and then walked very slowly up the 100 steps again. He hasn’t slept this afternoon & recovered quicker than usual after his outing. Small steps.

The wall went up by a couple of rows. It’s slow going because the curve has to be perfect. Mike visits a few times day to make sure it’s right.

This evening a message went out of the street whatsapp group.

Then the power went out and a bunch of people complained, so Mike and I went for a walk on what is a very balmy evening. The electricity department wasn’t working on it. Here’s why…

We are even more grateful for our solar system.

Psalm 125:1
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx
