Today was the day…
We got the flat finished. I handed the keys over to the new tenant. A week ago yesterday we met on Facebook when one minute previously she had posted a need for new accommodation. I usually wouldn’t be on FB in the middle of the day, but there I was and there she was. I wrote to her. She responded. Two hours later, she met me at the flat. She wanted it. I got financials and reference and tomorrow she moves in. Before breakfast Mike and I went down to finish the final bits and pieces and give it sweep and clean. After breakfast Mike went back to do ‘one more thing.’ I followed and scrubbed the loo. All done. P picked up the keys just before 2pm.
We went to Echo. I’m now beginning to refer to the new build as Legacy House. It’s the legacy of all three of us to the next generations. It’s Mike’s design legacy set in stone. While designing, Mike has regularly thought of those who will follow. It’s absolutely a legacy house. We are its builders and custodians and we sure will enjoy it while we have it. 😀
Werner and his men were working. Now the rain has passed, they are opening the spaces for the door and window to the side balcony…

We really enjoyed the afternoon at home. We had a relaxing evening. Mike had baked bread. I ate too much of it! I did a tiny bit of work. A good weekend unfolding.
