First Glimpse of my Bedroom View

Wednesday

Today I walked around the beam box and got the first glimpse of the view from my bedroom. Of course it won’t quite be like this as there will be walls and windows, but it’s the closest I’ve got to actually being where  my bedroom will be. I’ll be able to stand in my bedroom space probably this week when the rib and block is put in place. What I did was walked along the box area on the right…I climbed over the first steel and walked to the next beam.

It was from there that I took a few photos. That section will be our bedroom and this is the first view…

I took a panoramic photo from there. These never look good on the blog as they are so narrow, but here it is for the record…

Over the next few days, all rib and block will be put in place and we will be able to walk across the top of it. In fact we will have to as we will be helping Mike with the electrics. All of this has to be covered with rib and block.

It’s a massive task as all the material has to be lugged up from the road (usually about 77 steps) but right now access is terrible…

Most of the ribs have been carried up. They are sooo heavy…

The other thing I noticed today was that the rock had been taken out of the lower ground floor and that has been cleared. The builder wants to start with some of the finishes. There will be a lot for Julian to see when he arrives tomorrow.

I got more than 6 hours work done today. A number of offers came through as a result of the Cape Town interviews.👏

It’s been a good day.

Ephesians 2:10

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,
