I just didn’t realise it would be so tiring driving for 6 hours yesterday for the Swellendam day trip. It was so worth it, but I was still tired today. I spent the entire morning in bed, fortunately with my laptop on my lap and able to work while I recovered. Ah the joys of working from home.
When I got in yesterday, Mike had been like a whirlwind through the house and had cleaned up a whole lot of places that I had neglected. What a star!
Lunchtime, I went to gym and then did some shopping and remembered to buy cat food!
It’s been a beautiful day. Lovely and sunny and very little wind, although as soon as the sun sets, it gets a tad cold. Today my technology was all charging so I picked up the latest book Julian has got me onto and continued to read it. It’s about two nurses who came to Africa from England in 1890 and trekked up to Mashonaland (in what is now Zimbabwe). One of the nurses wrote a journal and it is has been reproduced in this book….
It’s so fascinating. They were courageous.
#688 of my 1000 thanks is for chicken broccoli which was dinner! Broccoli has two ‘c’s and one ‘l’. When will I remember that? Thank you spell check.
I’m not back in bed, but will go downstairs soon and make tea for us. I feel like tea.
Psalm 19:7
The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
That’s the truth. You want wisdom? Read the Bible.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
