Day Trip

Today Julian and David arrived at about a minute before 7am and about two minutes later we were on our way. The three of us headed to Swellendam for the morning!

We made good time and got there within three hours including a coffee stop. It was wonderful to see Stacey and Adrian, but of course I made a bee-line for Elsie. Julian and David were introduced to her as well. She has grown so much in the last two weeks and is so alert and so much stronger. She can lift her head and just loves looking outside at the sunshine…selfie of me and Elsie. She’s twenty days old. Such a cutie pie.

We stayed until 1pm. Julian had to be at the airport before 4pm, so we headed on home and got to the airport at just about 3-30pm. I have to say that by the time I drove up to the house it was after 4 and I was very tired. David had driven the whole way so he must have been exhausted. I watched some tennis, did my Bible reading and then went downstairs to watch the Blitzbokke play England in the final of the World Rugby 7s series which they WON!

#687 of my 1000 thanks is not that they won, but the testimony of humility and gratitude to God they have after the win. They knelt to pray as they often do…this is from their Twitter feed last year…

One of them had Philippians 4:13 on his wrist band. Such a testimony.  I’m grateful that there are these nuggets of Christian faith being displayed so publicly in South Africa today.

Luke 21:15

I will give you the right words and such wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to reply or refute you.

It’s been a good day. I am tucked up in bed. Truffles is in her box. We put a box on the table with a blanket in it and she figures this is not a bad idea…

She’s now curled up in the box for the night.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
