Couch Before and After

Monday

The couch is happily reinstalled at Echo. This was before…

And this is after…

Denzio did a fine job. It’s re-covered in genuine leather so should last a lot of years. 😀

I sent Julian the before photo and told him the couch was home and then I didn’t send him the after photo. I waited for him to comment. He was not sure whether we had been swindled! He was very happy to hear we hadn’t!

I worked for just over 6 hours today, which was perfect. I did laundry and I got two bills for Echo. One was a BIG bill for the next concrete which to our astonishment is booked for next Monday.  😱  That means that Mike officially has 6 days to complete the electrics for the next level. It’s our floor – the biggest of the four floors –  about 144 square metres including the balconies. It’s got to be decked out with plugs and lights, with kitchen electrics and all that goes with it. Mike starts tonight!  He’s busy working on the layout as I speak. Mike has done most of the plans for this build. He is doing all the electrics and will design and possibly build some of the cupboards. He never envisaged this when he retired!

The access to the house is pretty bad right now….it was quite a scramble getting up those rocks. See the big grey rock  in the middle? That’s just about where the front door will be.

I stood there and took some photos…looking down…

This view won’t change much….it’s the view from the front door…

Then I walked around the boxes that have been constructed to make the beams. I was standing on the far side of the house, probably where my bathroom is going to be.

All of this is going to change in the next few days as the rib and blocks arrive and the floor begins to be constructed. I’m learning how to build a house.

It was a good Monday.

Psalm 139:13-14

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank You for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvellous – how well I know it.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

I swam 30 lengths crawl, then 10 lengths backstroke, 10 lengths breaststroke and ten more lengths crawl. Then I just lazed about a bit. It was wonderful.

Braces:

1 year and 89 days.
