When you have children, you never quite know how they will turn out or what their strengths will be. It has been a treat watching Stacey and David enter adulthood, equipped with gifts and talents that are a far cry from my own!
Stacey is an engineer. Wow! While she was a toddler, I never saw that coming. I should have on the day she took apart David’s remote car! She is smart and creative and absolutely delightful. She works out of Swellendam for an American company – all of it is done online. It works so well for her. Married to Adrian, they both work from home and as Mike & I have now learned, it’s absolutely wonderful!
David is a musician. Wow! I should have seen that coming when he was 9 months old and rocking back and forth to the sounds of his Granpa’s mouth organ. But I didn’t realise he would make a career of it. We gave him a go-pro for his birthday this year. It was a bit of a risky gift as it cost a bit but it was not something that he asked for and if he didn’t use it, it would have been a waste. We need not have worried.
He has had such a lot of fun with it and his creativity has taken him to another level. I have no idea of how it took him to put this together, but it is amazing…
Very clever!
God is the God of creativity.
Psalm 139:13
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
# 94 of my 1000 thanks is humour and laughter – both of which we enjoyed this weekend.
These are the days!
Back to work I go!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you!
In His Grip,
